Quilt Gems are the result of work at play in a game of visual problem solving with textiles.

I called these small collaged fabric compositions Quilt Gems because they are simply delicious scraps of printed, painted, dyed, and sublimated, opaque and translucent fabrics, that found companions and communities and evolved into impressions of real and imagined landscapes. Eye candy for the art quilter within me they are a playful reminder to be present in the creative act engaged with materials.
